My 21st Century Argument against the Trinity and Christian Theology

In the Gospels Jesus calls himself “Son of Man” 102 times, the term “Son of God” was used 76 times (65 times by Jesus himself), and Jesus also proclaimed that God was his Father 54 times. There are 17 recorded instances of Jesus praying to God directly. For instance, at the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus prays: “Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: Nevertheless not my will, but yours, be done.” Luke 22:42 Furthermore, if one subscribes to belief in the Hebrew New Testament; the God of Israel himself calls Jesus his Son: “And lo a voice from heaven, saying, this is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” Matthew 3:17 According to the Bible, Jesus began his public ministry at age 30, when he was baptized at the River Jordan by John the Baptist. A voice from the heavens proclaims that Jesus is the Son of God; not that he was God himself. Historically speaking, Jesus is crucified by the Romans after the Pharisees, the Jewish religious authorities of the time, found him guilty of heresy, sacrilege, and blasphemy. During his trial Jesus says to Caiaphas, in response to these charges: “Thou hast said: Nevertheless, I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of Man sitting on the right hand of power and coming in the clouds of heaven.” Matthew 26:64 As Jesus is being accosted by the Pharisees, in his defense, and in his own words, he calls himself the “Son of Man” not God-the-Father and he also says that he will be seated at the right hand of God, not on the throne of God itself. Thus, by his own testimony, and by his own statements, and according to Matthew 3:17, Jesus is not God. If Jesus is not both God-the-Father, and God-the-Son, and equal to the Holy Spirit in substance, then the Holy Trinity is therefore invalid: as a false doctrine and as erroneous theology. Millions of Catholics and Protestants worldwide must take action to ensure the future viability of Christianity by convening an ecumenical religious council to usher in new reforms to the Christian Church. And now, at the dawn of the historic revelation that we humans are not alone in the Cosmos, the elders and leaders of the Global Christian Cult must rally together to determine how Christianity will compete with other World Religions in the future, once an official announcement is made that extraterrestrial life, contact, and technology are real and verifiable.
